I’m a multi-disciplinary cultural curator, creative producer, and strategist. I work with values-aligned people and organizations to bring ideas into being.
Sometimes those things are experiences, or content, or performances, or conversations, or concept albums, or teams, or finding perfect alignment between brand and artist. Often, those things escape categorization.
I’m one half of Main Office, a creative and cultural strategy studio.
I’m also the music and performance curator for TED.
In 2016, I started the intersectional feminist music festival Gxrlschool, called a“vision for the way forward” by the Los Angeles Times.
Gxrlschool was a local festival with an outsized impact that worked with artists from Yoko Ono to Phoebe Bridgers. Itnow exists as a theoretical place to make real things. Music videos. Short films. Meaningful festivals. Experimental installations. One-of-a-kind performances. Community events. Synthesizers made from Jell-O.
Before all this, however, I played violin for people like Perfume Genius, Beyoncé, Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros, Sia, Kanye West, Vampire Weekend and Spiritualized. There’s even a Gold Record somewhere in my office from my past life as a member of the band the Airborne Toxic Event. I should probably find it.
